So i got this little surprise when I stripped one of a set of eight Wishbone chairs to redo.
I was glancing through the photos of the huge art collection of David and Peggy Rockefeller that is about to be auctioned by Christie's and these two chairs jumped out at me.
Dyeing is tricky. I don't know what the fiber content is of this fabric, but a lot would depend on that.
I don't know who made it but I'm quite sure those loose pillows belong at the back, not along the arms.
well, the haikus literally wrote themselves so all credit goes to the author of that mysterious list.
bent, broken, burned, chipped
content, condition unknown
cracked, dented, faded

You'd be surprised---there are very close vintage copies of Eric Buck chairs that were made in Thailand.

I don't know a thing about Arne Norell, so I can't help you there! Sorry.
A quick google search shows at least a few sofas listed as authentic Norells (the "Ilona").
